Combining the UK's only dedicated national geospatial trade exhibition with a full two days of conference, GEO-10 will again be taking place at the modern and easily accessible Ricoh Arena in Coventry, UK. Showfloor seminars The GEO-10 exhibition will again feature a comprehensive programme of showfloor seminars. GEO-10 will again be hosting the m3 conference. Grounded in the three m's - measuring, modelling and managing geospatial information, this year's programme features plenary sessions on both days. The aim is to bridge the gap between those engaged in geospatial data collection and those developing or using commercial applications for geospatial data so that both sides can learn from the other.

Delegates are encouraged to break out of their traditional specialisms by choosing between the two streams:

Five critical areas

Sessions will focus on five critical areas for geospatial professionals:

• Location and positioning from enhanced GNSS
• Collecting, modelling and using 3D terrestrial laser scanning data
• Modelling and analysing data from aerial lidar & other remotely sensed data sources
• Advantages and pitfalls from open source software and other "free" data sources
• New business opportunities

In addition, we are planning two special sessions:

• "Reliability, Accuracy & Fitness for Purpose of Software, Specialist Services and Sensor Technologies"

The session will examine the reliability of several current technologies such as GNSS sensors, software applications and specialist services. The liabilities of suppliers to purchasers and subscribers will also be considered.

• "Derived Data - opportunities, liabilities and threats"

The changing legal and administrative regime for derived data from new and "free" data sources together with the opportunities that are opening up for the use of public datasets - and especially mapping - following the Smarter Government initiative, backed by developer of the Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee.

Discovering new technologies

The conference and exhibition provides the ideal opportunity for delegates to come together to discover emerging technologies within the context of new business opportunities as well as to discuss critical changes in the regime for using government data. We have a fantastic gala evening for visitors this year. We are hiring part of the Ricoh Casino, a Las Vegas style casino with tables, slots, bars and an exotic décor.

There will be a floorshow with "Elvis" and "The Vegas Show Girls". Your ticket will include a welcome drink, two-course buffet supper, entertainment and, if you're unfamiliar with what a casino has to offer, a chance to try out the training tables at no risk.

The evening begins at 7.30 with the Vegas Girls to welcome you and will continue until at least midnight. A cash bar will be available and plenty of time and space for those who want to just network.
