About the GEO-Events

GEO-South - 1 & 2 May, Holiday Inn, Elstree UK
GEO-North - took place 7 March, Reebok Stadium, Bolton UK

Our GEO-Events are completely free to attend and are designed for everyone involved in the capture and application of geospatial information for construction, civil engineering, development, local / national government agencies, professional survey practice and consultancy.

The GEO-Events attract up to 40 exhibitors each year and deliver a packed programme of free seminars, live product demos and, of course, great networking opportunities, including a Gala Evening* of good food and fun.

Supported by leading trade organisations and academic institutions, the events also attract exhibitors demonstrating the latest technology and developments in fields including:

• GIS
• Satellite Positioning and Navigation systems (GNSS)
• Laser scanning
• Data modelling and analysis
• Mapping

A 'must attend' for anyone who works in these fields, supplies or purchases geospatial products or services including education and training.

The venue for GEO-South 2013 is The Holiday Inn London-Elstree, which is perfectly located to travel to by road and rail.

Located on the A1 just minutes from Elstree - Borehamwood train station and only two miles from junction 23 of the M25.

The Seminars

We recognise that for many visitors one of the key benefits of attending the GEO-Events is the FREE seminar programme. For GEO-North, a packed day of seminar sessions included an inspirational address from Bob McEwan of HP followed with sessions covering BIM, Airborne Sensors, Integrated Geo-data for Highway Maintenance, Data Transfer & Management and Training for GIS.

The Gala Evening

The GEO-South Gala Dinner takes place on the first day and is a great way to unwind after a busy day, offering an evening of great food, fine wine and entertainment.

The guest speaker will be Gareth Chilcott, a former Rugby Union player for Bath and England, who is a lively and entertaining speaker. The Gala Dinner tickets are going fast. Tickets include a drinks reception, four-course dinner and wines. This is always a great evening to meet up with old friends and acquaintances and wile the night away.

Are you a Jasbeen?

Did you work for the survey firm JA Story & Partners?
If so, join us for a special reunion on Wednesday 1st May from 5-7pm at the Holiday Inn Elstree as part of the 2013 GEO-South event.

The reunion is free of charge but if you want to stay on and join us for the GEO-South Gala Dinner and maybe stay overnight there is a charge - tickets for the gala dinner are £49.95 + VAT (£59.94 in total) including a 4-course meal, drinks and entertainment.
